1*Scrap weapons & armor for mods. Some need purchased but most come by scrapping

2*Pick up & scrap everything--junk (and pipe) is life! Scrap junk before adding to your stash

3* Take your time. Wayward & Main Quests through Firebreathers--then wait on Top of the World a bit 

4* Explore Forest>Toxic Valley>Ash Heap in that order for side quests, events, & lore

5*Sort by weight in pipboy & stash to sell/scrap/drop heavy items when cucumbered or full

6*Try different weapons to find what you like, don't need a build right away. But by level 15-20 should start specializing--can always change later

7 *Speaking of...don't waste stash space on many Legendaries or items 'for later'. 1-2 for now & 1-2 for soon--otherwise Scrip!

8 *Don't stress about your CAMP right away, you place one for the Wayward or Miguel pretty early, but need plans & scrap built up to do much

9*Be sure to take a Workshop at least once & consider more. First time unlocks several plans! Yes it opens to PvP but also plans & events

10* Workshops can be ongoing XP, Plans, & Resources. You can take multiple. Don't pick locks in Workshops or CAMPs if you don't own them 

11* You get rewards for claiming a workshop & then an event & plan for defending against environmental enemies. Defend events repeat regularly

12 *Don't laugh at Bow players too much, they can probably steal your kills & do major dmg 

13* Honestly PvP can be fun but is optional. Turn On Pacifist in game settings & you won't initiate with stray bullets or get pulled in (outside of owned workshops, but even then it's rare)

14* Dying is really no big deal. Scrap & stash junk regularly to reduce loss & find locations for fast travel *If you want to level quickly & efficiently there are many guides. Youtubers like

15 *If you want to power level here are some basics -Get an INT boost from Public Casual teams -Join Lg Events & tag all the things while the Chads take them out -Lunchbox XP buffs stack 4x & last an hour, can often get them from others at events -Brainbombs & Cranberry foods!

16 *Most higher level players just want to help, though not all
